We take our responsibility to make a positive contribution to the environment and our surroundings. That is why we are always looking for opportunities to be able to do business a little greener again. For example through the Green Passport.
All seafaring ships from 500 tons worldwide are required to be in possession of an IHM: Inventory of Hazardous Materials. In other words, an inventory of all hazardous substances on board. Such as PCBs, lead-based paint, asbestos and chrome-6. An IHM report covers the entire life cycle of a ship: from new construction to decommissioning. An IHM thus reduces the danger to people and the environment during use and when the ship is dismantled.
In addition, suppliers must issue a Material Declaration (MD) and Suppliers Declaration of Conformity (SDoC) upon delivery of each new part to be installed.
To meet this requirement, we have developed a management system: the Green Passport. This makes it possible to draw up a research strategy based on product specifications and origin. In this way we guarantee that all our delivered products meet the requirements of the IMO (International Maritime Organization) and EU SRR (EU ship recycling regulation) for hazardous materials.
New guidelines require a proactive attitude. We therefore like to respond to ever-changing circumstances in good time for our customers. For example with our Green Passport.
